Meet your therapist…
Hi there, I’m so glad you’re here. I want to share a little about who I am and the experiences that shape the way I hold space for others.
I was born in Kenya and raised between Kenya and Canada - an experience that shaped how I understand people, identity, and healing through a wider, interconnected lens. Growing up across cultures taught me early on that there isn’t one “right” way to move through life, and that healing is deeply personal.
Outside of therapy, I find gravitate towards creative activities such as baking, decorating, and going on scenic walks with my dog. I’m also a writer at heart and the author of where it broke, a poetry collection born from reflection, healing, and making meaning through words.
These practices remind me of the power of slowing down and listening inward, something I encourage clients to explore in their own way.
At the core of my work is a belief that your power already exists within you. My role isn’t to tell you who to be, but to support you in reconnecting with what’s already there.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is holistic, integrative, and deeply client-centred. I meet each client where they are, tailoring the work to their unique experiences, needs, and goals.
I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, and somatic approaches. I am trained in IFS and DBT, and I am EMDR-informed, allowing me to support both emotional processing and nervous system regulation in a grounded way.
